Not yet finished

Our lives are beautiful stories that we never stop writing. We’re creating chapters upon chapters that brilliantly interweave tragedies and victories. Each one allows us to dig deeper inside ourselves to find true purpose and relevance.

We must use tenacity and fortitude to develop patience, precision and endurance that effects purposeful change in ourselves and others.

"Though it has been one hell of a journey so far, I'm proud to know that my story is not yet finished."

OWEN FOSTER is a designer and educator who is passionate about the relationship between design and learning. He is the founder of Fostr Collective, and co-founder and director of Aether Global Learning and SHiFT Design Camp. He looks to create freethinking, empathetic practitioners who will passionately lead their local and global communities through logical discourse, impeccable craft and sound strategic direction.

Foster’s journey started as a farm boy in Alabama, where he dreamed of helping the world become a better place. The dreams and life lessons instilled in him on the farm fuel that passion today. It’s been stated that there is no such thing as a boring conversation with Foster. He has mastered the art of storytelling and knows that the most powerful way of connecting to people is by relating to them. He believes that every experience is an opportunity to learn something new and that the measure of success is about applying yourself to everything you do.

Foster's background is diverse with experience in architecture, landscaping, and environmental and industrial design. He has partnered with the Eastman Foundation on numerous community development programs and engagements. He wants to provide a world-class educational experience through platforms for discovery, creation and reflection for the global community of makers, thinkers, changers, givers and leaders.

Foster started his career with professorships in industrial design at Auburn University and at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. He has served as Industrial Design Group Department chair and professor at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
